Sifa has lived in Dzaleka for 4 years and hopes to support her family by opening a small business. She hopes to open a small shop to sell things she knows her family needs in the market.
Lydia has lived in Dzaleka for 8 years and was a student before fleeing from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Liga hopes to open a tailoring business but needs a sewing machine.
Corona has lived in Dzaleka for 10 years. Corona provided a friend of hers a small loan using the money she would need to purchase clothing to sell in Dzaleka’s market. She is asking for help, so that she can re-open her clothing wholesale venture.
Fye’da is originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and has lived in Dzaleka for 2 years. She explained that living in Dzaleka and supporting a family is almost impossible without running a small business. With some support, she will open her own cooking business.
Dukelay bintu mika
Dukelay is a widow living with 12 children. She is currently selling some of the aid she receives to make ends meet. She hopes to sell coal to purchase the necessities she’s purchasing, so that she can keep all of the aid she is given by UNHCR.
