  • “To be honest, the Global Classroom has enabled me to travel to places I never imagined possible. The Refugee Outreach Collective (ROC) program is preparing me to be a change agent in my community. The program (Global Classroom) has given me the opportunity to pursue my dreams. I am confident that after completing this program, I will be able to properly care for others. I'm honored to be a part of this program. This program has helped me understand both myself and the world we live in. Thank you, Refugee Outreach Collective (ROC), for your efforts in creating a perfect program for us stateless people. I am becoming a global citizen as a result of this Global Classroom.”

  • “I am currently living in Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi, due to constant wars in my country DRC. I have become desperate, lacking of the joy of life and some of the dreams I had have died and disappeared because of being a refugee. I didn't except that one day I could have the opportunity to get a high level of Education with the refugee status I have.

Two years ago, unexpectedly, I had the opportunity to join ROC and become one of the students who benefit the education through ROC. Through this Education, I have become a better person in the refugee community and brought great changes to my fellow refugees.

I pray for those with compassionate hearts, who can come forward to help so that ROC can reach refugees in large numbers. ROC here in Malawi is changing the lives of many refugees through Education and various services.

    Thanks for your support.”

With you we can Change. After being enrolled at Global Classroom i among those who are studying at Central Michigan University, your support for the amelioration of this Program is Needed. Be a part of those who promote peace in the world through Education”

  • “I am Prime Nibaruta Ndihokubwayo, an internally displaced and lifelong Refugee in Malawi, particularly, Dzaleka Refugee camp. I have stayed in Dzaleka Refugee camp for all over 20 years.

Having been lost my home and other family members due to civil wars, I again lost hope and have been helpless. Survival structures affected my total health and could barely work for hand to mouth to earn a living. I have attained primary and secondary high school through the help of JRS and a watch from UNHCR the major implementing donor.

Education has been viwed as the main durable solution among all towards the helpless Refugees. Following my encounter with a friend who introduced ROC to me and felt so motivated to join the program. It brought me a full attention after I realised how I live in the world of social issues and political system that influence many of our socio-economic life. To improve on the human life, I need education. Consequently, ROC in partnership with central Michigan university have proven to be the best fit for me. The program enriches my academic objectives and ambitions and that it contributes to my career advancement. Personally, I recommend ROC to even get higher towards outreaching many more refugees who basically need their services for the better peaceful world.

With the few studies I have taken from this program, I am able to relate affairs that affiliate to our day to day socio political change communities. I am very encouraged to aim higher and this will earn me achieve my expectations hence making me an ideal and productive person in the community, national and at international level.

Thank you ROC! Thank you Central Michigan University”
